What did you do in your garden today?

Now isn't that funny how different rules can be? Last Monday a farmer showed up with a banana box full of asparagus. It looked so good that I wanted to grab two stalks and run off and nibble them. We thanked him and then I washed them all. The next day they were divided up and a baggie placed...

    What's for dinner?

All colors of bell peppers were on digital deal at Safeway for 25 cents each. Max 8 per membership. I got 8 gorgeous red, yellow and orange ones. Found some old hamburger 97%, an unmarked package of sausage in my freezer down in the basement, cooked both with some cooked rice and an old 2021...

Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

My baby bro called with sad news. The Bernese Mountain Dog they bought now has leg cancer. She's 5.5 years old. Its $10K to amputate but it will be hard for a large boned heavy dog to manage without a leg. Its $15K to start chemo Its $18K for radiation and then chemo. All three solutions will...

    Daydreaming while waiting impatiently!

We got Starlink last winter. Much more reliable than Century Link. But it is $120 a month, vs $65 for CL. Ouch.

What did you do in your garden today?

Something got into my Costco greenhouse the other night. I accidentally left the door open. It toppled the two trays from the upper shelf. Didn't get the other two trays on the same shelf tho.

    What's for dinner?

I thawed two vac pac'd packages from '22 of chicken thighs. Son put them on the Weber. So good! He had two; hubs and I had one. I told him that pieces of meat are a treat and that we try to fill up with other good things. Like the baked potatoes, the home grown/frozen green beans, and the...

What did you do in your garden today?

Yes, way too wet here and too cold at night. We had a frost advisory two nights ago. Seeds are late, and have yet to come up in the new greenhouse. I need a dump truck of garden soil to fill my humongous raised beds after they settled this winter.

Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

I've had Run Chicken for 1.75 years. Never a problem. It even faces east, but still not a problem.

Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

Was it someone on here who mentioned within the last year about the phone calls from the Medicare Advantage provider who wanted to do the annual phone call/video call? Hubs and I did them two times in the last two years, and are being bombarded now for a new call for this calendar year. My...
