Re: What's everyone doing today?

It's pouring rain outside.  Went to church and now I'm thinking about taking a nap.

Re: What's everyone doing today?

Was lucky.  Saw ALL my children.  I have chicks hatching....sex links.  Getting ready for pm Mass, then hopefully a little more family time.  Only other thing I can report is washing and polishing my nursing shoes, so they don't look like nursing/chicken shoes.

Re: What's everyone doing today?

Watching it rain, mostly! big_smile

And doing outdoor chores between rain drops! Got several gallons of rain water bottled up, fed/watered birds, crushed cans and walked around checking out just how much the plants have grown with all the rain and warm temps.

Pretty good day for it being a rainy one! cool

Re: What's everyone doing today?

Dawn I don't know about yours, but my plants have been really jumping with all this rain!  Especially the peas!  Tomorrow I'm going to work on expanding the garden and planting a little more.

Hi Rebecca!

My plants are almost growing before my eyes! I'm not sure who's enjoying it more, me or them! lol

My day tomorrow will be much like yours! big_smile

Re: What's everyone doing today?

Meandered out right before sundown and finished the outside entrance to the second nest box...will insulate the inside with cardboard and apply drawer pulls to where the blocks of wood are on the doors and I'll be done with that chore...finally.

Re: What's everyone doing today?

Your going to have to show us how you did that!  I love it!  I'm building a coop here soon, but mine will be out of salvaged materials.  I'm not in any hurry since I only have one chicken left! Lol

Re: What's everyone doing today?

A sawsall, cordless drill and scraps!  My millieu!  I've got more pics of the evolution of this project over on the meat bird thread.

I am most happy with tools and scraps in my hands...I can't wait to build this rocket mass heater this spring.  Get to play in the mud, make something useful and we have most of the mass materials right here on the place.  I love, love, love to use free stuff and repurpose it into something else!

Thrilling words...  Ah, but I'm married, and you're down south...

Just a passing thought. wink
