Well, if you are positively SURE about the accident, then I guess it's a game of wait and see. Just seems like they haven't been honest with you from the get-go. If a wait is inevitable, they should at least be completely up front about a day/time for your pickup. Good grief, what a stressful...
:hugs
I hate to say this, but it sounds like these guys have no intention whatsoever of moving you. Have you paid them anything... a deposit? If it was me, I would be lining up another company.
Don't stress about your stuff fitting into the truck. Will you have moving guys to pack it for you? If so, they are amazing at their jobs. Our moving guys would measure a space in the truck, then go find something to fit that space. We didn't have a single broken item, it was packed so tight...
???? Hmmm, don't really see how I was "bashing" anyone, just stating an opinion on how I see it. Maybe you should go back and read my post again... s l o w l y. You seem to have missed my point by a country mile.
We've paid $65 for a stacked truck load the last 2 years. Haven't ordered wood yet for this winter. If he goes up $10 I'll still be happy, the price of gas hasn't gone down any. The wood is all cut to fit in our wood stove and except for a partial load one time that was still a bit green (and he...

Good luck and safe travels. I have one more move left in my life (from our rental house to our cabin) and now I'm not so excited anymore to get the move over with. :D
On our major move from Florida to Ohio with our dog, we got into Cincinnati so late that we stopped at the first hotel we saw...
The garden is in!!! Yipee! :weee
350 lbs. of composted cow manure, 8 cabbage and 14 broccoli seedlings in the ground, seeded beds of lettuce, spinach, carrots/radishes, mustard, turnips, onions, and squash. And a fig tree planted.
I've been at the cabin since Wednesday afternoon, went home...
I don't think anyone is saying we won't survive "whatever" may happen. :D But many seem to think that "something" is brewing. What and when? Who knows, there are so many variables, but the opinion (at least among people I know) is that we are in for a bumpy ride, and probably sometime soon.
Our Humane Society had an event like this yesterday. I've never been, but I've seen photos over the years of some very strange "pets" that were blessed. :D
