What did you do in your orchard today?

Not today persay. We pulled back the animal’s fence quite a bit and are putting trees up there. The soil is beautiful from animals for the better part of a decade. Got four peach saplings out there, more to come in the fall. Whenever they’re ready to be transferred we have a friend who’s a...

Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

Glad you have a car. We got so much rain the higher parts of the yard were almost submerged. Didn’t have to water animals though! Had a not muscovy mom hatch babies. How do I know this? When I opened the door she rushed out leaving her nest of five still-wobbling ducklings. When they’re...

Howdy y’all. I started to catch up, but it’s a bit of reading all at once! For now I’m just gonna jump back in. Hope everyone is doing well.

Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

Got three days of dinner in the works (I don’t want to cook for a few days) and sourdough ready to be put in the fridge for the week. How are y’all doing?

Good to see you too! At least you got some rest. Clever. Unfortunately people have no clue about that saying🤣 growing up it was deeply instilled in us kids that we don’t talk about where our dad was when he was deployed. Never said a word, and taught others to keep their mouths shut about...

Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

happy fall everyone. I have been so behind on everything, so figured it might be time to catch things up. They’ve decided to move in a sandlot and forty some houses on my road. Well, the sandlot between my road and the one behind us. Some of us fought, some people were already trying to get...

Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

It has helped my birds out a lot. But vinegar eats away at calcium, so if they get too much it can take too much calcium from them. Once a week or more doesn’t hurt. I usually only do it when they need an extra boost or seem a little off/little sick.

I had to reset my password to log back in just to say this: congratulations. That is a blessing from God.

What size dog is he? Mine uses wegreeco washable belly bands and they hold up pretty well. Hold a lot too. Don’t know how many sizes they have though. Oh, and a trick to get a good seal is to run your finger around the elastic so it will lay right and hold the urine in. Baby powder works well...

    Animal miscarriage increase?

Hmm. Good thing to look into. Who thought of feeding babies soy, seriously, who looked at waxy little green peas and said boom I shall raise my child on this. I know it’s raised a lot of people successfully. But it’s just weird to me.

    Animal miscarriage increase?

See, my thinking is that over 600 doses a day of medications is going to add up. Especially if our water treatment plants aren’t prepared for it. As far as birth control, if I remember correctly, the body metabolizes and excretes excess estrogen differently than it would mifepristone and...

    Animal miscarriage increase?

After chemical abortions have become more prevalent I started noticing a huge increase in local and national livestock groups having animals spontaneously abort, at all different stages of development. Not looking for a debate on abortion over here, let’s all remain friends and not dive into...

Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

So, school had a basketball bracket…whoever got the most right gets ten bonus points on their lowest exam score. I, not being a sports person, managed to pick Purdue as the winner. Which was apparently one of the earliest out, according to my friend who informed me last night. Any sports fans in...
