They have "soccer balls" that basically do this. I want to get them for my kids for Christmas.

I debated about this for a long time, then paid for a nice, Cuisinart ice cream maker-- we make ice milks with coconut milk, you name it, sorbets, etc
If I had kids or smaller grandkids coming over, we would have done the bag thing. Looks like fun for the urchins, doesn't it! LOL

I'm excited about the hand-cranked ice cream maker we found at a yard sale. It's in excellent condition except that the ice may leak out (not into the ice cream- the seams are good on that) between the wood slats at first- it's been sitting and the wood has shrunk a bit. Once everything gets wet and swells up it should be fine though.

Just thinking about hand cranked ice cream brings back wonderful childhood memories! Does anyone else remember having to sit on the top of it to hold the tub down? LOL...that is a trip down memory lane for sure!

I can remember having one, but that's about it.
