Neem is fine for organics as long as you spray it after the pollenators have gone to bed. It will kill the bees if you spray it on while they are out. It works great on a lot of things though!
Glad to see you're still kicken! I thought of you the other day, the black walnut if doing nuts again. Do you want any still?

Sorry....been a while, but here I am because nothing else to do on the computer that isn't heart breaking, in some way or another. Amazon, is good, except it takes my money. Facebook is where I go to feel very unloved, even by my blood relatives....even children.
So I have thinned out some animals, to make life a little easier. Some have been sold and some have been slaughtered and eaten.
Its been a long time since I've been able to garden.....thanks a lot DH :( I"m still thinking that the only way I can pull off any type of gardening is if I close in downstairs and use it as a greenhouse and garden entirely in containers. Of course anytime I mention it, I get 3 people telling me how it won't work for this reason or that reason, but I only know one way to find out for sure.
DH is slowly falling apart. I feel sorry for him, strangely. I guess he threw away his whole life and now he can't make it alone. Thank God (who he doesn't know at present) that I am a nurse and that I have SS skills....and don't owe money on my house(s). I just don't know what I would do besides.
Looking forward to the hulls and thanx. I haven't pulled out my recipes yet to see exactly what I should do. I'm sure I can do a few, in small batches and save some dried hulls for future needs.
So many things are demanding my time right now and I'm trying to concentrate on what is most important.....my children. They need a devoted teacher and mother. Everyday I want to do my chores as fast as I possibly can and possibly kiss some of them goodbye, so I can just teach.

Take care of yourself. Without you, your children would struggle more. Do what you can and don't sweat the small stuff.

Really hope things start looking up for you. Lots of people garden in containers - no reason you can't do it to. Don't let the naysayers get you down! :hugs

Forgot my ****ake log, outside, soaking. I had gotten DD11 to take it out to soak, before she left to go with her Poppa and its been 3 days, but I don't think it will be a problem. Just put it in the bathroom, where I have been keeping it. Science and food :) So my 2 little angels are here with me now and I'm free until Saturday morning.
DS is off and is doing some manly things and my godson is also here and cleaning the chimney, so we can light up without scaring DS too much.
So one of my co-workers that I seldom work with, came in this weekend and we happen to have children very close to the same age and she has been complaining to me about Common Core and asking me questions about homeschooling. So yesterday I handed her my cell phone and told her to watch my last math class, which was done in front of my house, using the stepping stones to add and subtract. I had been having trouble teaching with just paper, so I gave it up and went outside and the kids had a blast because it involved jumping, counting and seeing.....she (co-worker) told me that if the teachers taught her son like that, that he would understand but the way he is being taught is confusing, even for her. She doesn't understand what it is the teachers are asking for. I am thinking I will find the kids chalk and take their spelling outside on the street and make a spelling, jumping game and see if I can get the words in their little brains like that because I'm doing something wrong. Spelling is the worse.
Apparently my animals spent the whole weekend with no fatalities, deprivations or damages.....thats always nice.

Thanx, DD. Super tired right now. Mondays always are.
Well, I see that my last post was edited and I can understand why. That type of mushroom I have growing on that log in the BR does have a not so pretty way to be spelled. Sorry. No harm intended.
I have resisted the chicken math this week and so far I am not sorry. I really did want to get some broilers to raise with my hatchlings, because I knew it would be some fast, tender meat, but I didn't get them. I have about 20 very healthy mixed breeds. All their dad's are one in the same, so they half maran. Most of them are from sex-link hens, so they already hatched from a half-breed's egg, so I think they will be super healthy. I just don't care about pure breeds right now.
I have put in for some overtime, if its available this week because someone always needs a little piece of me :(
So DD 7 asks me,"Momma, how did our yard turn into a farm?" so I start telling her it didn't happen all at once, but little projects started taking place and now our yard can feed us a bit. So she looks confused and it looks like she is thinking and looking outside and at me a few times and she says,"That is true." I don't know if she was comparing what we have to someone else's yard or what.
