Took me a minute to figure out what the top pumpkin was. I was thinking it was a rabbit-until I looked at it closer and saw the tail. Then I figured out that it was pikachu.

I don't get a lot of kids here for Halloween. That's one advantage of being the last house on a dead end street.

Lol, I'm glad you were able to figure it out :D that means others will be able to as well!! Whoot!!! :3 I was afraid no one could tell what it was ^,^;

Oooh, we now live literally smack dab in the middle of the street, a definite change from the end of an apartment complex. Not a bad change but different for sure.

The only reason I know is because of my kids. Otherwise, I wouldn't have had a clue.

We had a whole 10 kids. I honestly didn't think we were going to get any. Then they finally started coming. I think most of them though, are grandkids of the people down the street.

Lol, we had perhaps 50 total definatly way less than I expected. I got twelve bags of assorted candies varying in yummy to kinda meh (since everyone's got different taste) and I have probably 11 still :I

Since we have so few kids, I make up little bags for them. But I decided I wanted to do something different than a bunch of candy. So they get a pack of peanut butter crackers, a pack of hot chocolate mix, then a small candy. This year I went w/malted milk balls. It cost me less than 50 cents per bag and I'll eat whatever is left.

In the 12 years we've lived here, we have NEVER gotten a single trick-or-treater. I guess being at the end of a dirt road, with only about 10 other house over a 1/4 of a mile...just too much trouble for kids today when they could hit a suburban housing development and get 3 times the houses in the same space.

@Britesea, dang! Far away I guess lol. I think a lot of people do more trunk or treating recently and like it better -shrug- sounds weird to me and somewhat lazy convenience. Make them kids work for the candy lol.

@Denim Deb , that's a cool idea!! And extra goodies for the self is always a plus! :D I saw more non edible treats that a lot of online people were going to do this year than I've ever seen before. I think its kinda cool, since food allergens are becoming more commen. I love malted milk candy!!!!

Well, not much been going on recently. Did a lot of clean up and rearraingment on the patio the other day and today I'm going to attempt to build a rabbit cage from box... Though eventually I'll get around to making a series of cages for permanate rabbitry if we end up being good/alright with it :D I'll post pics later!!
Also! All but one of our hens is laying now! Woot woot!! Alternatingly but they are laying which is awesome!!

That's great! fresh eggs are soooo good! My ducks have decided to take the winter off I guess, I'm only getting 1 egg a day from my 3 layers. But the other 4 should start up in early spring.

Lol actually was surprised we were getting any! I'd heard the shorter days can mess with laying cycles. One of our hens hasn't laid in while (Suzy, she's been old enough to lay for awhile) but we thought she wasn't laying wither due to having been broody (neither egg made it) and then having pullets in with her right afterwords. Or due to the summer heat. She started laying a short while ago but just seems to randomly decide to do so when she feels like it now -shrug- fresh eggs are so super good!!! :drool lol a lot of people I work my 'RL' job with just don't understand really, though a few I think are starting to come round;)
