I'm not 100% sure, but it looks to be some member of the brassicaceae family-which includes mustard, cabbage, broccoli, etc.

Whew...tired, but it's a good kinda tired! We made our trip to DD's house for Christmas. Got there around 5ish Wed aft. DD's fiancé cooked up a delicious beef loin that was probably the best piece of meat I've ever tasted in my life! It was perfectly medium rare and tender and delicious and melted in your mouth. I can't even give it enough praise.

I was the first one up Christmas morning and got to enjoy a cup of coffee in front of the tree, taking a little while to be thankful for everything that Christmas is and means before the kiddos got up. It is so much fun to watch the pure joy that is in a child's face on Christmas morning. We also made sure that they remembered that this season is not just about gifts.

We got up this morning and headed home with grandkids in tow. Rained all the way home so the trip seemed to last forever. Got home, unpacked the truck and went straight out to milk. The girls were NOT happy with me. Sparkle was pretty full on one side, but soft on the other...and Chanel was definitely NOT carrying a two day load of milk. Sooooo, leaving their daughters with them pays off because both of these does will let their kids nurse when they get overly full. I'm perfectly ok with that!

Grandkids were tired and in bed by 8:30. I'll be following suit in just a few minutes.

A little late, but wishing all my SS friends a great holiday season!

Today was pretty stinkin' wonderful too!

Got up, grabbed a quick piece of toast and the grandkids and went to the track. We spent about an hour walking, waiting, walking, climbing the hill, walking, visiting the playground, and walking back to the truck before heading off to the local café for breakfast. Oh my, these kiddos do love to eat, lol! Grabbed a few groceries and came home.

In the spirit of keeping things moving, we had a Skip-Bo tournament, a few games of Connect Four, a waltz out back to slop around in the muddy barnyard, smoothies for lunch because of such a huge, late breakfast, a dance-off in the living room, a huge pot of broccoli cheese soup for dinner (fresh broccoli from the garden) and last, but certainly not least - a dip in the hot tub. Those kiddos are sleeping so soundly right now, lol!

And it won't be long before I'll horizontal too!

Sounds like you did a good job of tiring them all out. And I'm sure they had a blast.

Grandkids are still here and that's the ONLY reason for any enjoyment the last few days. Geeze Louise - can it get any nastier around here? It rained all day Friday, it started raining again late Saturday morning and rained pretty solid all day, all night, and the first half of today. YUCK isn't a good enough word to describe my barnyard and pasture. It's boot sucking, deep, wet and sloppy and doesn't really smell too good with all the poo-soup that is out there now. Plus - kiddos can't even go out to feed with me because not only is it W.E.T..... it's C.O.L.D! Okay - rant over...

We only have tomorrow left to get in more fun with the kids. I think it'll be FunJump in the morning. It's a local place with tons of those blow-up activity houses. They are still the right age to enjoy those, and besides, it gives me lots of good pics! Might take 'em shopping afterwards and pick up a few new outfits for 'em especiallly since DD was let go from her NEW job on the eve of Christmas Eve. It's hard working in the legal field. Lawyers really do make the worst bosses...ugh. Not lawyer bashing at all, but I've been there and done that and that's why I don't work for lawyers any more, lol! However, they do come in handy when you need 'em.... like when some crazy lady runs a red light and nearly kills your loved one...

Kiddos are asleep and I'm not far behind 'em. I'm gonna dream of sunshine.... I scarcely remember what it looks like.... :fl

It's finally starting to dry out around here-I hope! We got some rain overnight, but I don't think it was much. And, it's supposed to be dry and sunny this week!

We're going from bad to worse....stoopid rain! I stopped by the feed store and picked up some more pallets today. I see a pallet trail (or 6) in my future, lol. I've been in this house for 27 years and I can say that the mud has never been worse than it is right now...UGH.

Spent a little time in the buck pen today. Thankfully, they're starting to get their senses back and behaving like goats again instead of a big huge wad of hormones. They're actually pretty sweet guys when they're not in rut and stinkin' to high heaven. Hope they've done their jobs. Not all of my does are looking like big, fat pregnant girls....but haven't noticed any of the "bred" ones come back in heat, so that's a pretty good sign.

Seed catalogs are starting to come in the mail. I'm trying really hard not to even open one yet. I'll get all caught up in it and do nothing but obsess over 'em for the next couple months if I do.

Waaaay too quiet here tonight. Grandkids are back home...and I'm missing em like crazy. They were disappointed that they weren't able to spend much time outside - but we did have some fun times. This time last night they were plastered to me - one on each side so close I couldn't do anything but wrap my arms around 'em and just enjoy it. They are such cuddle-bugs!

Hmmmm, I'm thinking a glass of wine and some hot tub time are in order tonight!

I got a catalog today from a company I've never heard of. I haven't had a chance to really look at it yet.
