Well, we have this website/group in Ontario called Rural Routes. Generally you have to pay to be on it, unless one of the staff finds your place interesting/fun/useful enough to list you. I googled the farm the other night and came up with this

http://www.ruralroutes.com/6348.html

We didn't post ourselves on there, but someone apparently did!

This website highlights local shops, businesses, farms, farmers markets, etc. So that cottagers, locals, and passers-by can stop in and purchase goods, etc. While the profile says nothing about what we do here, it is still free advertising LOL. For the record we sell our extra chicken eggs and do short term/layover horse boarding.

Maybe they found you interesting. Noting bad and no pictures. Just general info that can be picked up most anywhere. I did an internet search for your farm and wow at the things that jumped out. You have a lot of info posted so its easy enough for folks to find.

If it concerns you a great deal email the host and ask them to remove it. Or you could just consider it free advertising. Unfortunately with the internet if you have ever posted the name of your place or your own name for that matter anywhere there will be info out there if someone bothers to do a search. Type in your own name sometime and see what jumps up.

It doesn't bother me, and I love that we've been picked up by them because it's pretty much a big deal around here, they even have a RuralRoutes farm tour every fall. The thing is that whoever posted it didn't bother to look much farther than the first few lines of our main page and there isn't a lot of useful information. I've emailed the hosts to see if I can either get the password for the page to add more information (like specifically our eggs! because selling our extra eggs keeps the chickens fed) or photos.

The whole purpose of the website is to promote 'buy locally owned'

Probably they will found a person interesting. Remembering poor no pictures. Only basic info which can be selected most at any place. Used to do a good google search for the farm as well as wow from stuff leaped amazingly away. You then have a lots of info posted so it is simple sufficient for folks to get.
When this issues a person a good deal electronic mail the web host as well as keep these things eliminate it. Or you could potentially merely contemplate it cost-free promotion. Regrettably while using the web if you have ever posted the title of one's position or perhaps your title for example at any place you will have info on the market when someone troubles to accomplish the seek. Type a highly effective title sometime to see precisely what jumps upwards.
