Good things come to them who are patient.

It's getting hard to be patient! The good agent brought a nice couple round yesterday for a view, while we wait. They seem very interested now as well… just to spice things up a bit?

Something really strange and wonderful happened. I think I mentioned here back in November I looked at a house that was for sale a stone's throw from where we lived in Ireland? It is priced way over my budget, but I impulsively emailed the agent who had it listed and asked him if the owners might be willing to negotiate something? I've spoken to this agent in person when we were looking at rentals and I found him very nice and helpful, which is sadly not something I can say about many Irish agents… But back to the present. I received an email from him 2 days ago, 4 months after I emailed him! He wanted to know if I'm back in Ireland and still interested in a buying a property, so I updated him in brief on the situation here around our sale and told him I am looking at properties and would like to work with him if he's interested in helping me find something? He responded promptly and positively I send him my list of requirements, minimum land size, house size, the location I'm looking at, etc. I'm waiting to hear more from him now.

Oh Sumi I hope your house sells quickly. It has dragged on and on. Our old house went so quick, we probably should've asked more money LOL. But we didn't want to be looking at it a years from now. Short sale to friend of a friend, we took the money and we ain't looking behind us, only forward. Your time is coming and you can shake the dust of South Africa off your shoes!

Gosh, I hope so… We underpriced this place, hoping for a quick sale, but people are so ridiculously fussy. We had loads of "lookers" who were probably just interested because of the low price, but had unrealistic expectations, I don't know? I hope one of our buyers will get their ducks lined up soon, so we can get a move on.

Our tenants house loan got approved 2 weeks ago already, but their bank is being otherwise about transferring the money into their account. SA being corruption capital means they are super cautious about sending money out anywhere and wants all sorts of documents from our tenants to prove who they are, etc. They are going to the bank AGAIN tomorrow and we're all hoping like mad they'll finally get the money, so we can get on with the sale.

I am completely fed-up with waiting and just everything. It's been more than 8 months now since we put this place up for sale? We honestly expected it to sell much quicker, but I suppose God's time is not our time… Fingers crossed this week will be the week.

I am hoping that this gets settled soon for you. Frustrating to know that they have been approved for the loan and the money is there - but not there!

Two more of the neighbors back in Wyoming have sold their homes. They were both for sale last year, but ours was the only one that sold - after 8 months being listed. both sold within 2 months and they both got their asking price. Yeah for them!

The agent phoned… Our other buyers sold one of their properties, so they are in a position now to buy our place. They want to come for another look tomorrow morning…



I just spoke to the tenant and his wife and asked them what the hey is going on, because if these people ask me tomorrow, I need to tell them something? They don't know, they are waiting for the bank...

That sounds like the beginning of a real Fluster Cuck...
