Dang it has been busy and hectic recently :/
Seems to be a hiccup or misunderstanding with something on the refi, which will hopefully be fixed today or tomorrow.
Woke up Ill on Saturday but had no time to relax, called out of work, had powow, the refi mixup, taking our car to the shop, canning and dehydrating. Sunday not so bad for a work day lol, and storms we have had lots of storms! Super unusual for this time of year as monsoons not for at least a few more months. Dad thinks we'll be having a wet humid desert summer
Got some chores to do so I'll message back later guys! Hope everyone's well and doing awesome!! :frow

We have been having some light rains, but not enough I fear. I wish we would get a good steady soaking rain and get this summer started.

creativetwinszoo You asked for advice on quilting. I enjoy quilting, although I am no expert. You said you are saving shirts and jeans to use as fabric for quilting. It is always fun to repurpose stuff, but the fabric used for shirts is too flimsy to hold up in a quilt by itself.
That pattern you picked does look like an easy pattern to do. It would be really cute done with denim squares (from old jeans) and a variety of shirt fabrics for the triangle points. If you decide to do it this way, don't trim off the corner of the denim - only trim the inside layer of the shirt fabric. That way you are basically sewing squares of denim together and it will be a sturdy quilt top. the thinness of the shirt fabric is actually a benefit in this case. This technique will produce a fantastic quilt for heavy duty use like picnics, sitting out at night watching the stars and what not.

Good gravy summer has hit and it has hit hard!!! ;_; it is so hot out recently!
Already this week the record temperature has been broken!  :th

And I have a sneaky suspicion it will not be a nice rainy summer but instead a hot sticky and sweaty one :hit

Its been awhile since I last updated but not much to report :hu

We unfortunately lost one of our lady rabbits, we are not sure if it was due to heat or age (we were never given a definitive age bracket when we got her). But thankfully we've still one lady and the rest are doing very well given how warm its been.

On a positive note Twinnie set up the incubated with 6 duck eggs and we candled them the other day and so far it looks as if 6 have growth :D yaaay!!! :weee

That's about all I've got for now, hope everyone's doing well, keeping hydrated and cool!

Hoping for more plain Swedish blacks but I know we could get both blue or black and crested's for any of em since the parents are crested Swedish blue moms and black Swedish dad

Gah! I am feeling sleepy all the time recently :'(
This heat is driving me ragged :(
Hoping it cools down soon, so I don't feel like I'm always sleeping and drinking way too much water lol

Also no baby Ducky's :'(
Hopefully tho our rabbit girly will have her fluffle soon

On a lighter note, the local sprouts have a dale on cherries about a $1.00 a pound so when we went I bought around 13 lbs of sweet dark cherries.

I canned 8 pints in a heavy syrup (the cherries were a Lil tart)

I also dehydrated some, that was a lot of work pitting them :th so worth it though, cause I think I'm gonna dip them in dark chocolate for a treat :) :love

Also made "cherry pit vinegar" for the first time, mixed a capful with my water and it was super good!

Think I might be getting some more for all three things and of course yummy fresh cherries :)
Also if anyone knows how to properly can vinegar for self life? (I'd love to be able to make shelf stable Cherry pit vinegar its pretty good and would be awesome for Christmas/holiday time!)

Think my next canning venture may be into juice or drink concentrates, but who knows lol

If you have that many cherries to do often, you might want to invest in a cherry pitter.
