I only molest her when her head is in the feed trough - and she doesn't seem to care a bit. She's pretty laid back.

Lol good plan! Any pictures of her bloated self? I've brought up the idea of Guinea hogs with my husband a few times and he said no way, but I would love to have littler, calmer pigs. Oh well!

Does this look like a pig booby? Look close and you can see some fluid on my finger.

Sometimes I wonder if her back hurts. She's carrying quite a load - poor girl!

Ummmmm, I'm wondering if she's a little ... 'over-conditioned'? Most of the summer she was running free in the pasture with NO feed whatsoever...but she still gained weight.

Anyway - with fluid filled boobies maybe she's still on track for next week.

Oh she's so adorable! And super pregnant! They gain weight quite easily with added feed right?

Yay hope for piggies soon!

I'm gonna have about 300 goats next year if I don't stop breeding them! What's wrong with me? (Bay - don't answer that!:hide)

But, bred K'ili to Dusty this morning. One of the few Nubian x Nubian crosses I'm doing this year. Since K'ili and Dusty both are not related to any of my other Nubs...might look for a nice buck outta that cross....or might just sell every Nubian on the place.

Ms. Piggy is still in the family way. Pressed more liquidy stuff out. Checked a different booby this time, and yep, stuff in that one too.

It's HOT today. Think we're forcast to be at 88. What is up with this mess? Might be ok - just for today because tonight is the fall festival at our school and we have a cake walk every year. Smells real good in my house right now. My contribution(s) will be a german chocolate cake with coconut/pecan topping, Meyer lemon bars and a "funfetti" cake with strawberry marshmallow frosting and sprinkles on top. Little girls love those things, lol. Hope we make lots of money because we use it for things that the grant is not allowed to pay for - like dual credit tuition and letter jackets.

Got the MRI report back...looks like I mighta tore a tendon along with tendonitis, synovitis(sp) and something else I can't pronounce or remember, lol. I was hoping for an easy fix like a cortisone injection but turns out they are not recommended for tendons. Grrrrr.... See the doc on Monday and will get her take on it.

Happy Saturday ya'll...

Monday -- never a "good" doctor day. But she'll fix ya up and give you some impossible to do/not to do instructions. Then ask for "plan B" so you won't re-injure as you still do the "do not do" things....:idunno....sometimes we gotta do. :hugs

You know, those AGHs really do look like a hippo! But also look huge if nothing next to them for comparison. Are yours rooting a lot? Mine didn't until lately.....maybe cravings.

We're having the 60 2 days and 80 2 days roller coaster here & it makes it hard to adjust to it all. Hopefully we will level some next week. Looks up 60 to low 70. Nice.

Looking for your pig babies soon ....:caf Worry about goats in Spring....

So I watched a video on Youtube and those sows just laid there while the piglets just popped out, got up & went to the milk bar. No nothing, just laid there while they fell out. :idunno saw no pushing, sure didn't do anything to acknowledge them, just like she was in a trance.

This is not like kidding & foaling. Only saw the people hand wipe sack from one face. Within a couple minutes it was walking. AMAZING.:clap The sow didn't even lift her head.
