I have to agree.
I have a 270 and bought a 308 for my son for Christmas.
I especially like the removable magazine. I feel it is much safer knowing the rounds are out of the gun when the chamber is emptied and the magazine is removed.
Speaking of meat birds, I was about to place my order and was wondering if any of you have ordered from .
The shipping price is kind of expensive, so I was wondering where some of you have ordered your birds from.
Also, when I was ordering I noticed they recommend that they vaccinate for...
I saw an ad on Craigslist wherein someone is looking for a "heavy breed" rooster.
I have a few Plymouth Rock Roosters I could probably sell.
Any idea what they are worth for $ ?
They are about a year old.
Thanks for your input.
It definitely does draw one in, and I have to admit that my walk with the Lord is closer as a result...well that and the Daniel Fast I am currently doing.
Here's an interesting article on how to make your own:
There are other ways, of course.
The circuitry is extremely simple, so just about anyone can do it.
I don't know if anyone has brought up this book, but I just finished reading it and it is awesome!
Have any of you read it?
If not, I highly recommend it.
Financially it may not make sense, but who can put a price on spending hours with your kids hunting? When you do that, you are creating memories for a lifetime, and passing down a tradition throughout the generations of your family.
On top of that, knowing how to hunt, kill, and process wild...
I have also been selling eggs to the people I work with.
I am curious, how much do you charge per dozen?
And, I was wondering about any issues with the eggs if they come up. If they ate a bad one what could happen? They go in the fridge the day we collect them, but you never know if a bad one...
A guy I work with bought a wood burning stove and put it in a shed outside his garage, then ran the heat to his garage. I have not seen it, but he said it works well.
The trailer in this pic is similar to what I was thinking of: http://www.millerwelds.com/resources/communities/mboard/showthread.php?14418-BBQ-Trailer-Plans
In fact, I do have an old snowmobile trailer I was going to convert for this.
The basic look here is the same, but much bigger.
A good...
I think it is fairly thick based on it's weight when we moved it, but won't really know until I cut it open.
As far as a plan, I plan on just cutting the top half off at an angle, hinge it and place the firebox beside it....no exact plans on it. I have way way too many projects in limbo as it...
I have a co-worker that built a smoker out of an old fuel-oil tank and it works really well. He can put a large hog in it.
For the firebox, he used an old 55 gallon barrel, but this is not lasting very long.
Because of this, I found a fuel oil tank on craiglist for free, and am planning on...
Reminds me of what my boys did when we were building the house on the acreage.
We were still living in town but spending quite a bit of time building the house out in the country. Because we didn't have a toilet out there, It told the two boys (5 and 3 at the time) to just pee on a tree when...

Now all that aside, let me say that I agree with the lifting...
Government regulations stand in the way of saving most of the food that could be saved for giving to the poor.
We all know that much of the prepared food thrown out could easily be sent down to the local salvation army. It could even be frozen to store it. But health regulations prevent it.
Oh, I agree with you on that.
I was just pointing out the fallacy that thinking one of the reasons we need to reduce the population is that there isn't enough farmland.
And, I also agree with you that as many people starve as are overweight.
And, there is just simply too much waste of the...
Great video.
I especially like the message here. For instance, the beggar did not just simply give his money to someone else as a handout. He actually gave it to something that was productive in a person's life...the placing the coin in front of the help wanted sign so the lady found it, for...
