Fodder and forage and many other ideas below. I do find chickens forage better when put outside fairly young. I allow them out in the goat pasture at times and let them in my back yard with the dogs. I know I don't have to worry about hawks when the dogs are out. If one goes overhead the...
I am in Kansas City and have several pure NZW's and a few really nice CA/NZW crosses. All are anti-biotic and hormone free.
These rabbits are from very good meat stock I have been working on for a few years. All should be good mothers and have large litters.
PM me if interested.
I am not sure if this is where I should post this.

Offering a two hour class on raising your own meat pens. Rabbits are fun, easy to raise, quiet and can supply your family with healthy, low fat, high in protein meat, at a fraction of the cost of high end meats you...
As tortoise brought out your does are most likely over weight. Rabbits do not need treats, they just need their pellets and hay. If you feed a CA rabbit a cup of food a day they should be fine. But, if food is still in their feeder at the next feeding I adjust their feedings. I do not give...
It is easy to humanize where they live but ultimately you want to do what is best for the rabbits. Rabbits do not like to be around each other much and are quite territorial. Many of us use hanging cages for cleanliness. Wood is hard to keep clean or sanitize. My first set up was in a 3...
Today I again used my tonic made over a year ago as a mop for bbq ribs........... AMAZING!
I took the veggies and poured them and some of the tonic in a drip pan along with water and some 7-up. Slow cooked for 4 hours and used the mop the last hour or so......... Turned out amazing!
They are a Mandoline shaped "very very" blue meat rabbit. They are known to have a very good disposition and are around the size of a New Zealand.
This could be a fantastic 4-H breed as they are very rare all across the United States.
Pedigreed Rabbits $50 for does and $35 for bucks...
Thank you so much for letting me know they are doing well. I am glad you have been able to share them with others. I have had a lot of compliments on the quality of them. Speaking of which, "How are yours Dawn?"
LOL
We are enjoying the new place and the ability to have more livestock.

I have a small rabbitry in KC,MO and usually have CA's, CA/NZW's and pure NZW's. Occasionally, I have American Blues. I will have more available in the future. I strive for good mothering skills with large litters and able to feed them all. I do not sell my culls for breeders. My rabbit...
Amen to that! It is incredibly benificial in so many ways. It helped my friend have enough of an appitite to eat when she was fighting cancer, it can help with many pains, anxiety, appitite, stress, sleep issues and much more....
I recently visited a state where it is legal medically. I...
I have two exceptional CA/NZW jr. bucks for sale. I am in KC. The mother always has a lot of milk and is a 1/2 NZW 1/2CA, she's an amazing mother with big litters. Father is a great looking pure CA buck who is quite blocky. 10 weeks old. Nice dark points. $15 each.
Here is a picture of my only NZR. I love her compact sturdy size and shape!
She will be bred to my NZW buck, in about a month to month and a half. I cant wait... she is very nice.
I am in KC, MO. I have a couple real nice Jr. bucks that are 1/4 NZ and 3/4 CA. Mom is always full of milk...
For the large breed rabbits I have them in wire 24"x36" & 36"x36". A nest box fits nicely in there and there is plenty of room for the kits. I use bigger cages for my does as they are going to have babies in there till they are weaned. She will need room to run from the little guys. :) I...
My rabbitry is moving right along nicely. The heat has been unbearable but everyone is doing fine. I started out with Florida White meat rabbits and enjoyed raising them for 3 years. I am now down to one FW doe who just had 5 beautiful fat FW/CA cross babies. And, have switched breeds in the...
My brother has horrible ingrown toenails and was wondering if anyone on here has any ways of helping or fixing this problem.
I look forward to your replies.
