I was wondering if anyone here had dealt with cae in their dairy herd. I suspect one of my does that has a hard place in her udder has it, but Im not sure what to look for. Her udder is hard in the center and soft around it. Not overly full. Not hot. Very little milk.

I'm not familiar with cae or dairy goats for that matter, but if you head over to http://www.backyardherds.com, I'm sure someone there will be able to advice you. Good luck with her and keep us posted!

Is she newly fresh and maybe just congested? But, like Sam says - your best bet is to have a blood test.
