This is our self sufficient home in progress. We have worked at it a little at a time through the years and it is getting close! It is a project I have enjoyed immensly. We're on a lake in Northern Ontario Canada and live in a log cabin.
This is the view from the back door. Out back I have a henhouse that houses redshavers, barred rocks, and silkies.
My project this summer is a large garden and green house to grow my own vegetables from seed.
I plan on making a crawlspace we have under the house into a root cellar. It is a large room but is built onto a cliff so I need to get some imagination going! Part of it is 4ft high and part of it is more like 8 ft high. I'm working on it...will post a pic later and maybe someone has some ideas! |
