Daydreaming while waiting impatiently!

Took me almost an hour, but I mixed up brownies from scratch while sitting on the floor. Tried a new recipe from The Joy of Cooking. It doesn't have baking powder in it, I hope it turns out okay!

I was thinking I might make blog/videos of how to cook with POTS. Equal parts cooking, adaptive strategies, and encouragement. I'd have to get my laptop fixed so I could edit videos, but I have the technology to do it.

I'm relieved to have symptoms improve at night - my usual pattern. I'm trying to get the kitchen cleaned up from brownies.

I have rhubarb to do something with. I like to make and can BBQ sauce out of rhubarb but I have plenty left from last year. Maybe a different flavor? DH doesn't really like either or the recipes I tried last year.

I made rhubard-cherry-blueberry pie filling. Except..... some of the rhubarb is fibrous. Might have ruined the whole batch. I'm not sure if I can salvage it. It's in the fridge overnight while I think about it.

Despite spending the day in bed, I'm going to sleep tonight with a clean house, a pan of brownies, and a plan for supper tomorrow.

Poor DH hasn't adjusted to accept that I get it done, but on my own schedule (which even I can't predict or control).

It's hard to do things when you're not feeling completely up to it. I love that you did it anyway! From the floor, but hey, it got done.

Mind yourself over there today :hugs

Couple good days!

Yesterday, DS10 and I had piano lessons and visited a friend. I gave her a box of homeschool curriculum and she gave me a Siberian iris - my favorite! I sheared 3 sheep in the evening while DH held them for me. Busy, busy day, we didn't stop for supper until 10 p.m.!

I was proud of my sheep training/handling! I was able to walk into the ewe pasture, call them to me and put halter on 2 out of the 3 we tried. The third one is leery of being caught, but DH grabbed her (with less drama than I expected) and then she haltered up fine. There's one ewe left. She's a yearling that I haven't worked with much yet. She is eager to eat from my hand, so that's a start. There's also a yearling meat wether left to shear - he's wild! He can't be worse than the rams, right?

Today, DS10 threw another epic fit over a math assignment and I tried to carry on anyway. I went to the hardware store for wallpaper remover and paint for the guest room. We stopped for ice cream and went to a park to enjoy it.... well, DS2 and I did. DS10 continued his tantrum about math.

When we got home, I tried the wallpaper stripper. IT WORKED! I had the wallpaper border off and mess cleaned up in 2 hours!

DH and DS2 watched a movie while munching on sandwiches. While DS10 continued the math tantrum. Very rare that DH will watch a movie. Poor DH is so tired, I'm glad he rested.

After he went to bed, I started painting the guest room. I have 2 walls done! I'm prepared to feel poorly tomorrow. I can sit and practice piano extra if I'm dizzy. If I feel good I'm going to paint! I'm feeling optimistic that I can finish this guest room project by the end of the month! I hope to finish it before DH notices. He won't like the paint color.... but he won't dislike it enough to repaint it a different color himself! :gig His general opinion on my projects around the house is he doesn't care as long as I finish them promptly.

(DS10 finally finished the math lesson at bedtime.)

But where's your actual post? Lol

Yay for you on the wallpaper! Hope your son sorts out his current hatred for math. That can't be fun to deal with every day! Ugh.

GRRRR! My actual post posted 3 times! I don't know what happened to the real one, lol.

@tortoise Congrats on getting so much done - I don't know how you do it! And I hope that DS will figure out that he will expend less energy just doing the math homework instead of spending all day trying not to!

This is how I do it:

When I feel bad I lay in bed feeling sorry for myself, eating chocolate and wandering the internet.

When I feel good I do stuff.

:gig

I'm not good at coping with feeling unwell. I try to make up for it.
