It's windy this morning and predicted to get down to 17 F tonight! I still have to put tree teepees around our young fruit trees, and finish moving leaves into the garden. Supposed to be warmer at the end of the week.

Supposed to be in the 50’s today, and rainy. Ok by me, it’ll melt the ice we’ve been dealing with. We’re cutting and wrapping a pig today, one less mouth to feed and filling the freezer!

I do not like icy cold, when we lived in Redmond Or. It started freezing in Sept. and I never put flowers out until mid June. It always got in the below 0, -21 many times.

yes, same forecast for here. cold the next few nights and then warm back up to mid 40s later in the week. i'm just glad they changed the forecast for today so that we'll not have to deal with ice/sleet/freezing rain. 45mph winds and some snow will be plenty enough.
