Like @Mini Horses , I believe, my environments involved animal wastes of varying types, nasty weeds, and other things to damage feet. Old habits die hard

When you suddenly realize exactly what hay rings are made for 😲

What I don't get is the Y? So first they rolled it down and to the left, then rolled it back up hill and made it turn to the right? 🤷‍♂️ All I know they are powerful critters that wasn't some wimpy hay round I set out at the top of the hill.

Not a fan of crocs here. Call me old fashioned, but crocs/flip flops are only for the beach. Made sure if the kids were doing yard/garden work they always had proper work-type shoes and socks on. Just my old man opinion. Enjoy your footwear of choice

Footwear of choice? You mean barefoot because it saved the shoes? I cannot count the number of goat head stickers and sand burrs I stepped on when younger. Had sandals as an option when going to town.

I wear flip flops in summer often because if I cool my feel I feel cooler. I get harrassed if I wear them in the chicken pens for eggs. Hubby says he will not take me to the ER to get another rat tooth removed from my foot.

Used to wear Birkenstock style for decades. Developed bone spurs on the top of my foot which over time became flat round bones right under the nerve on the top of the foot. I can't have any real pressure on the top now or it will cripple my feet with pain. If I rub a finger over the right spot the top of my toes go numb. So no tied shoes.

I wear Bog boots outside and found some nice Clarks loafers for town.

Always think about what your footwear choice can do to your feet people.

I wore fancy white cowboy boots under my dress. No one saw them until the reception. At which point my cousins were all "Why didn't I think of that?"

Next no spray variety pears are ripening. I thought the pear tree was a starking but now I know it's not. I'm unsure what variety it really is. My neighbor said it was a volunteer 😲

It's a medium sized, golden skinned pear with bright yellow highly sweet flesh and no grit at all. No wonder the wasps, hornets, yellow jackets and honey bees are all over them. any ideas what variety pears this might be?

As of today, cleanup still needs to be done after the Thursday/Friday storms, with power still out in some locations. I realize it's Facebook, but the whining about inconveniences being experienced is no longer amazing but very aggravating. I am thankful for my experiences growing up and sharing/learning here.
This is a somewhat rural area here and the folks unable to cope with this minor event just floors me.

They / them should not live off pavement hahaha
