Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

Coffee is ready, slept late. Didn’t get much sleep last night, was up for hours. Hard winds blowing stuff around, dogs on alert, barking madly, they are still sleeping. Nice work dogs, hope you feel better than I do this morning!

Ya, it why we love them so but it does make for a rough next day.

Up at 5:30, wish I could have slept later.
I went out and raked the dust bath corners for the hens while the coffee was dripping.
Mr. big Head wants his eyes rubbed and moves my keyboard, and like all dogs thinks he should be in my lap.
not going to happen

I need to go up and cut 2 or 3 poles for the run.
There were a few bath fights yesterday so I shall make the area bigger for tub hogs. I am going to keep the dust bathing to the garden side of the run in hopes it puts less dust on the house,, but I dont think it will, but every bit hepls.

Momma hen growls as I approach but 5 fluffy butts are under her & 1 more half way. 4 days ago one was lost, looked to have been stepped on and shell broken had chased a hen off the day before and found an extra egg in nest. Had started with 7, 1 lost and now 6 hatching. That's 100% so great job mom & roos.

Only 153.7 lbs at last vet visit, with his head on my lap. Bear has a huge head.

Bear is a huge dog!

Off to a "swap" that's a semi annual thing, to meet up with 3 other BYHrs...... Started as a "chicken swap" and now it's a huge yard sale with animals

Really, parking is a few acres of cars!

Couple hr drive for each of us to site. A day away with friends !!

Rained and stormed yesterday evening. Wet and squishy outside. Bluegrass festival in Nacogdoches this afternoon and evening. I’m gonna go and enjoy it.
