What did you do in your orchard today?

Ok, don't really have an orchard, lol. But, I picked mulberries. If you've ever picked mulberries you know that as soon as they are really ripe - they nosedive right offa that tree. My chickens know that if I'm out there picking that they're probably gonna end up with as many berries as I do. Today they scored big because it's really windy (and I'm a bit fumblefingered, lol.

Reliance Peach on Lovell rootstock. Whip and tongue grafted Apr 19. Broke bud today, 14 days later. I removed all flower buds and left vegetative buds only. Studying my takers and failures. Takers only had vegetative buds, failures had both flower and vegetative buds. So from now on... I will harvest peach scionwood that only contains vegetative buds. Gotta keep learning... I'm just happy to have another peach tree 😀

What don't bunnies like. Deer too. I can't imagine a serviceberry that is 3/4" in diameter. The regular1/4" sized are really good.
Yes 3/4" serviceberries!

Wide USDA range also for this variety.

Sorry about the pollinators ( perhaps a little bee found one a few miles away for you!). The flowers are still lovely -- thanks for the pic.
