Food prices June 2021

My TSC has had everything set up for a month. Never a chick has arrived.

Chicks are the new TP hoarding.

My TSC’s chick bins are always empty too, but it’s because they get chicks every week and they sell out immediately. Last time I went in there were actually 4 chicks left. (They always have ducklings. Those don’t sell out.)

I haven’t seen a chick at TSC or Atwoods yet. People must show up when the truck arrives. Chick tubs stay so clean!

Here we go with toilet paper again. My grandmother kept corn cobs hanging on the bathroom wall with a hand lettered sign that said, For Company Use Only.

My Daddy said that corncobs were kept in a bucket in the outhouse. Talk about Ouch!

I've used several things to wipe my bum. Can't say I ever used a corn cob

I have. You have to scrub it all around on the wood first to soften it

Finally saw chicks at our TSC, not even 3 dz. Prices same, $5.99. Not as much increase as many things.

I'm ready. Stocked up on:
washing detergent
dishwasher soap
liquid soap for dishes
toothpaste
deodorant
shampoo and conditioner
bar soap
vitamins (altho prob need to get a few more with 2027 expiration dates)
face cream
OTC's
Got my Jase Case a few months ago, and its in a cool spot
batteries - mostly AA's
coffee (just brought home five 1 lb bags of beans that the food bank was throwing out, due to 2/24 dates)

Need to get:
dry dog food
dry cat food
wet cat food
another set of wiper blades (one of mine tore over the weekend)

dunno what else...

Over 90% of OTC comes from China. Any pain relief, spec vitamins -- C, D, Bs, calcium, etc. will be slower coming to restock. Plus higher cost. It's not panic time just review what you use and save a buck.
