So very sorry for these people... Flooding is horrible, but for the river to come up that fast from basically nothing is even worse. Prayers for all the people there.

I got tears in my eyes at the second vid. Mother and Father, Aunt and Uncle and her sis missing. And she was swept about 22 miles down the river and SURVIVED!! Yes, a Miracle.

Very happy this young lady was rescued, it's a true miracle. Yet i'm sad for her missing family.

It's so sad, those young ladies and others still unaccounted for, are in my prayers.

How can a river rise 26 feet in 45 minutes? That's just insane for a midwesterner to try and grasp. Was there a dam failure, or truly that much rainfall?

I've read that the area is very hilly. So all that rain runs off the hills and ends up in the Guadalupe River. There are vids of it "coming" along a stretch.
