I said a few days ago that I planted my mint plants and marjoram but today my marjoram looked like it was trying to die so I watered it and the mint plants and now I will be on a mission to grow my own marjoram.
I have finally decided that the weeds are going to be sprayed with chemicals to get rid of them. I'm planting the garden in pots so I'm okay with using chemicals on the ground. I also plan to raise the pots off the ground.
With the crabgrass I spent probably over 20 hours trying to get it out of the garden. I'm just really thinking that just using cardboard and paper and rocks to bury it, I might be able to avoid weeding for so many hours and times.
I'm still trying to figure out how to make my garden productive without having to fight the crabgrass. Of course now my husband wants to build it off the ground but I don't know if that's what I want.
Welcome to Sufficient Self. Gardening and taking care of my chickens and ducks and rabbit are awesome. I would like to get some fruit trees but for now I will just be happy with my pomegranate tree and the black and blue berry bushes.
No she's not even laying eggs now. I let her outside today because the weather was nice. I just about put a boot to one of the other girls because she chased Darlin and I am so very protective over her that had I gotten close enough to her, she would have been across the yard. I picked up Darlin...
So Darlin is inside the house now and she's eating and drinking. I put ACV in her water and I have miconazole cream and I have been giving her that too.
It's been a minute since I posted anything. Right now I am having issues with my favorite hen, Darlin. I don't have any idea as to what I can do for her. She's able to walk and she got in the nest by herself but she's not eating or drinking anything. I tried to give her some live meal worms but...
