The thing that I use is baby shampoo, fleas hate it. I have eight cats and six dogs with no fleas. I would even use it on our outside dog before she died and she didn't have any fleas.
1 cup of sugar
4 cups of water
gently boil until the sugar dissolves. Cool, then put in feeders and enjoy.
I followed this recipe yesterday and this morning I have hummingbirds fighting over my feeder :weee :weee
I use a dr. bronners for my shampoo, it does leave the waxy feeling when wet.
But here is my recipe:
7 oz distilled water
1 oz dr bronner's
herbs (depending on hair type and scalp condition )
baby shampoo works also. We have 6 dogs and 7 cats, we bath them in the baby shampoo, nothing else and we don't have fleas. Yes the dogs go outside. We do have our yard treated plus we have chickens to eat the bugs.
