Thank you! I think I left my peas on too long. I was just too busy to grab them. Do you think they’ll still be viable?

This could be a really dumb question, but I need an answer. Are the seeds of peas good once they've dried ON the plant? Is that the proper way to save them or should they be saved before they've gotten to that point?

I love Michigan! It's my favorite place to visit and we go several times a year. We're only half an hour from the border, but we trek the dunes every year and most years visit Mackinaw Island. Indiana also has beautiful countryside!

I usually pressure can my tomatoes but I decided to try water bath canning them instead. I'm finding conflicting times though, anywhere between 35-85 minutes for quarts. I have 9 quarts coming to a boil as we "speak", I'm thinking of letting them go for 45 minutes unless someone shows me...

What do you do with the wool? They say the wool meats taste stronger. Do you find that the case? Nothing better than shaving an un neutered doodle that hasn’t seen a groomer in a year. Lol it would definitely give you a good foundation for learning how to shave sheep!

My neighbors have opinions about everything and have no problem making sure I know what they are. The fence would mar their perfect view.

Yes, the ease of sheep is alluring and we definitely want to get into them. But, since I’m always looking for trouble I’d like some goats as well! Personally, I prefer goat meat to lamb, but I also want dairy animals as well. If we chose wool breeds I would want to learn to shear them myself...

Katahdin sheep is what we are considering in our future. We had thought about St. Croix but hear that they take longer to fill out. We don't have fences up in our PA property yet and I'm not looking forward to that process to be honest. We have grumpy neighbors who will be sure to give us lots...
