    Giardia?

Thank you for all the suggestions! I'm going to try ACV, yogurt, and garlic as a plan, rather than hit or miss. I usually eat yogurt daily, and when all this started, I was thinking it was a food problem and stopped. I remember about 2 weeks ago when I was milking a cow at work that I got...

    Giardia?

Has anyone had success using herbs for treatment of possible Giardia? I've had a lot of the symptoms for a week and a half, but feel pretty good. I haven't been to the dr.--looks like the treatment with antibiotics isn't a sure cure and I'd really like to not do 2 weeks of those. I'm seeing...

    Chainsaw questiopn

My husband bought me a Jonsereds about 6 years ago--I love it! He's always had Stihl, but ended up replacing his old one with a bigger J's than mine. Get one with a decompression button--it makes starting SO much easier!

Weeds: which ones are most troublesome for you?

I'm in northern Vermont and galinsoga is my major headache, followed by Purslane. The Galinsoga isn't too bad if you can pull while young, but it is a prolific re-seeder. So I do a lot of my weeding cursing my failure to keep up in past years!

    HELP!!

Nope! If you do the right temperature, it's pretty much what's in your sinuses anyway. Sometimes the first go around feels yucky, but beats having a cold for a month!

    HELP!!

Try rinsing your sinuses with warm salt water--my husband and I swear by it. I fill a tea cup with warm water and 1/2 tsp salt dissolved. Block off one nostril and snort a snout full thru the other one. Then blow. And blow. Repeat every couple of hours for the first day or so. I came down...

    Eczema help

Or Blu-Kote if you can use that on humans:lol:. That'd be a good look! (just kidding--sorry, couldn't resist). Glad you found an answer.

    Eczema help

Agree with all the above. Couldn't you have been exposed to barn itch? I think it's basically the same thing as ringworm.

    so...meat chickens

I like your plan, Bee! I bought electric poultry fencing 2 years ago and absolutely love it! I have a stationary chicken coop (would like one on skids) with 2 doors (4 would be better). I start them out with a squarish pen until they get used to the electric part, then by the end I can have a...

    'Peat' Pots

thank you both! I had seen newspaper ones years ago, but they were like egg carton cup size. This doing it over a glass is going to work for the second and I really like the tp ones for the first. I still gotta find out how they make the horse feathers ones, but bet it would involve a whole...

    'Peat' Pots

Does anyone have any 'recipes' for pots you transplant your seedlings into that are made out of manure (maybe like horse?). The peat pots in the store (about pint size) are .30 each. Thanks!
