I have noticed that people can end up paying a lot more for items than they are worth. I think this happens because they get caught up in the bidding process, and hate to lose. Too much pride costs them too much money, but they would never admit it.

I have seen some awesome decorative woodwork created with power tools, but a cousin says better detail, for trims and such, can be realized when using hand tools.

A neighbor was discussing a cabinet he wants to build for his kitchen. His wife wants "real" wood, but he wants to go with MDF with a veneer.
I like MDF because it seems less expensive than going with solid wood. I have also heard tha tit is stronger than most natural wood.

I would go for the really general diploma, then learn specific skills while working.
