grab a handful of broad leafed plaintain leaves and chew them into a paste, try to keep as much of the saliva in your mouth as possible, spit the whole wad of leaves and saliva out and place it onto the sting site. It really does work....I got stung in the cheek yesterday and it has helped a lot.

I peeked at the hive with the Old queen and she is laying and the bees are flying pretty well and taking sugar water. I haven't opened it up again cause it has just been too cold lately. Nice! I love those cages! We are hoping to do something like that but put it in the chicken run so they can clean up any feed that falls through. Right now we have 17 babies and 6 parent stock (4 does and 2 bucks) with 2 mamas nursing and 2 of the girls hopefully pregnant!

*hugs* too....I'm happy when hubby does side work to make extra money but I'm not happy about him not being here in order to do it. I miss him, the kids miss him, and we are generally grumpy too. :hugs
