Hmmm....why don't they just print another trillion and pass it out to everyone, that way we can deflate the dollar properly and look forward to a nice prolonged recession.

I am doing 6th grade this year - which brings me full circle as far as teaching goes as well. My DD started in 7th - 12th and my DS was k-6 (now). It will feel funny to do the same history stuff again and read To Kill a Mockingbird (that was our first novel in DD 7th grade) next year.

I started because a parent went into my daughter's Jr High School classroom and tried to beat up a student. I called the principal when I heard about it and they downplayed it, basically said it never happened and callled my DD a liar. Plus, I am so much smarter than those teachers! ;)

I am homeschooling this year, and have been for the past 7 years. Every year it gets just a little bit harder to understand people who send their kids away from home everyday - I'm afraid I might not be "mainstream" anymore. When do you start your school year? We start in August and end in...
