Well went to docs today and good news is my ligaments are all intact. The bad news is my meniscus(cartilage in the knee) is torn and needs to be surgically repaired. So sept 23 I have arthoscopic surgery. I will be glad when it's over.

Your kids are adorable. I remember my mom making a pear butter(like apple butter). Your recipe though looks delicious.

I think alot of it is knowing we need a separate barn and fencing for the goats. We have neighbors with goats down the road and they are always getting out. They donot have proper fencing. I guess he feels we already have horses, chickens and that's enough.

I have many! First of all my horses are really my passion even beyond my soapmaking. One of my favorite things to do is to take a hot bath by candle light and read a book.

I've been working on my dh with goats for about 3 years now. All I get is "No goats" When I wanted a horse, no problem he went and bought me a horse . We now have 5. When I wanted chickens he did protest a bit but wants to add to them every spring. Goats all I get is the look of him rolling...

Some fo are stronger than others. SOme people prefer a lighter smelling bar versus a perfume like bar. It's just a matter of preerence or taste. The essential oils are stronger because they are more pure and natural so you would probally use less. Another thing I forgot to mention. It all...

ty tankshill! Today I made a lovely gm lavender and lemon soap. I think it is too lemony and needs a bit more lavender. I fell in love with yankee candle lavender and lemon and was trying to duplicate it without buying more frangrance oil... It is a lovely lemon color and I really did not...

I keep my soaps exposed to air while drying. IF you put enough scent (eo/fo) they will keep their scent. I typically use anywhere from 0.7-1.0 oz per pound of oils. I prefer a nice hard bar, the top layer may lose a little scent but once wet it returns.

You seem to take it in stride. I hope your tests results come back soon. I think waiting is the hardest part and just not knowing instead of them saying it could be.... this or that...
