I have been paying more attention to expiration dates lately. I know I wont be storing a lot of peanut butter. I noticed it doesn't have a good shelf life, it's only good for a year after manufactoring. The can of salmon I bought expires in 2013, that's excellent.

Nobody is saying to run out an buy out Walmart. Times are hard all over and we need to be more prepared. I know I see a big difference in my grocery receipts this year than I did last year and it's only going to get worse. Unemployment is at an all time high. I know I am going to start buying...

My Mom says all the time how she wouldn't have children with the world like it is now and that she fears for her grandchildren.

I hang dry all our clothes and bedding. Our electric bill runs $136 a month, it's a little cheaper in the winter. Plus I make my own laundry detergent.

That reminded me of when I was little and my grandmother had some peanuts cooking in her pressure cooker. Me and my brother couldn't wait for them to get done so we decided to open up the cooker and peanuts exploded everywhere. We sure had some sore back sides, LOL. :weee
