First night wa s a little weird...
But overall, not a bad night, woke up a few times, i don't recall anything waking me, just general waking to check things, new place jitters I guess.
Woke up about 7am finally to a bright blue backdropping the big old pine tree outside the back window.

Neighbor also informed me yesterday that the 2 big tres between our houses are pecans and when the squirrels don't get them all they're loaded...
So I'm going to eb doing some tree iding today as judging by the leaves (hey I've never seen a pecan tree before lol) theres another pecan next to my car port...yay nuts., wondering what other fun thugs I'm going to find out about this little patch of loveliness over this next few days.
Hard to believe it Wednesday already, I'm 1/2 way through the trip

I have already decided that the bathroom is homing to be a remodel project, the old tub is shallow and stained, the surround is ugly and I want a soaker...so that makes the "big list" as I'll need a plumber to move the faucet up and fit the tub for me...I can handle the vanity myself, t who knows what's behind the old shower paneling and wet rock is heavy stuff if that needs to be redone.
The kitchen window needs replacing too...its been painted shut, i could probably get it moving but its old, rattly and probably about as energy efficient as a seive, i think the guy just got bored of this little project once hed replaced all e other windows lol...the rest of the house has new vinyl, e kitchen, the origionals lol...

Other than that, paint is going to be the key to making this place truly mine, everything else is in pretty good condition.

He replaced the stove for me as the other one apparently wasn't working, but it's ugly, so I'm souring craiglist, if I can find a drive and stove deal I'll replace both with matching white appliances, there's not a lot of natural light in there and the "almond" just looks dingy
And I think new hardware on the cabinets would also make a world of difference....

Oooo so many plans to make :D this is my favorite part...id flip houses if I could afford it simply because I LOVE the planning/decorating phase!

Today was a relitivly productive day...
Sweet talked the electric man into not taking my electric away...
The seller arranged to switch off the power this morning so he'd come for the meter...well I didn't get chance to switch and couldn't call since no cellymaphone...so I told him no problem, was just measuring the windows then heading in to town to switch everything over...figured he'd take the neater and come back tomorrow...

Well he called to me from outside about 10 mins later, he'd called his supervisor told her he didn't want this young lady staying here in the dark and shed ok'd him to take the reading and my name and as long as I promised to get down ther by lunch time he could out the meter back on and they'll take it from the reading he made this morning.
So I did get down there by 10:30 am no less, got it switched and I still have power.
Tried to switch water too but they were having a computer problem and silly me forgot the paper that says it's now mine lol, so gotta head back down there at some point to get that sorted, will probably do it first thing sat morning before heading to the flea market because it's semi on the way...

No lowes in selmer so I didn't pick up the fencing today, but did pick up sheerest for every window except the kitchen, a shower curtiain and hooks for that tension rods for the shears, ice to keep the cooler semi cold lol and my agents gift bought me anew shower head, one of those water saving ones with an aerator so while it only uses about a gallon and a half a min, it areatesit so you get descent pressure too...
The only problem is I can't get the current shower head off and will need a good adjustable wrench and possibly some clr to getit budged. Also picked up toilet paper yay tp lol.

Came home, had lunch, hung the shears, makes a difference already lol, then took a short walk into "town" which in realityis just nat the end if my lane and nit really what I'd normally call a town.
Stopped at the post office first to find out where the mailbox neded to go, need to get that sorted but right now all mail should be coming to the ct addy untill I move everything...so no real rush.

Then stopped by the convenience store...kinda look: like it had been reacentkylooted, a lot of source shelves, but it's aparentlythe been there forever so I'm hoping that's a god sign, could defiantly get basics if I absolutely had to ubut prices are high and everytig was a little dusty :(
Then to the community center, which was closed, it's been used recently the can bin is full, but no notices or anything with times (it's also the town hall and park lol) I'm not expecting too much from that though, I'm told there's a yearly BBQ and regular dances but we'll see...
Then to the firedept/police Dept, yes there the same building lol. Only 1 guy an met and he was heading out for lunch, but I said hi and I think he thought I must be a tad insane or something lol. Wel try back another time when Mabel there are folks around that are older than me...sleepy little town though, doubt there's much in the way of a police Dept.

Got home, had a drink and took all the measurements, so at least now I can make real moving plans as well as lists of things I really need ect...

I think I'm going to put my shoes on and take a little walk around the cleared part of the property, not planning in a case of poison ivy so I'll stay out if the brush for now lol, but I need a good stretch and can take some more pictures :)
Need to take more inside pictures too...don't have enough of those.
