I have never had nor sent any nasty PM's. :idunno But I do believe than perhaps some are more sensitive to criticism than others. Still doesn't make it right to go after a person......
BB put me in mind of someone that needed to gather bit more maturity and perhaps more skin thickness. Very tender soul from what I noticed. Nothing wrong with that, but, Tender don't cut it in today's society where the weak are killed and eaten.
Sorry if that sounds a bit graphic, just stating the facts....

So to be a member here you need a thick skin, a tough soul and not be "weak" even at an extremely young age in order to not be killed and eaten? hmmmmm......

It is one thing to be "strong" and another to lack sensitivity.

Show me where I lack any "sensitivity"........ Al I am doing is stating facts....
In the real world........the weak ARE eaten.... True?
He is not extremely "young".......the boy is in COLLEGE for cryin' out loud.
Time for him to be a bit more "mature"....
When I was his age, I was already in the military, half way thru boot camp, and engaged to be married.....
Please...........sensitivity? Gimme a break.....

Come on, it is the internet and it is a global membership. Butt heads is super mild here lol we all seen the wild forums HA HA

If the weak were "eaten" in our society I would already be someones dinner. I guess I've just been dang lucky. I've found everyone to be really nice here so far. No one can show a person their own insensitivity. If you don't see it in your post, you ain't gonna. Or perhaps I'm just too sensitive. Oh darn.

If the messages were private, how do you know his skin was thin, anyways? Do you know what was said?

Of course everyone needs to be tough, but Barred Buff hit the nail on the head....we have all lived different lives, tough in their own ways. How little we know of one another from the snippets we choose to jot down here.....I hardly think we have enough information here to proclaim accurate personality assessments, certainly not negative ones.

And if young people such as Barred Buff and Blackbird are not given a "safe" place here, how will our ideas be passed on? I don't think children emerge from a cocoon at age 18 all ready to be "eaten alive" by the world, no matter how young some of us are forced to grow up (I'm speaking now for myself).

Okay, I'm done with this thread! If you are feeling snarky at me, please DON'T send me a PM. Thanks. I'm one of the weak.

I agree....I was in the military straight out of high school after a lifetime of mental and physical abuse, yet, I do not take kindly to people being bullied for their personal beliefs. Just because Blackbird isn't like me in that he is young or different, does not give me cause to tell him to "suck it up" or "toughen up". We don't know what his "toughness" is, and I guarantee that if some of us who show our tough card were put through some of the things others have been through, we may not be so tough. Then what? We're eaten?

I'm sorry, but I don't agree that just because someone is more sensitive than I am to things that I should be mad, or tell them that they are weak.

I'm like savingdogs....I'm done here, I've seen the true colors and choose to walk away. Call me weak for not "duking it out" with some of you, but I'm taking the high road here......

And people wonder why I left in the first place....
