If I bend over in the goat pen, I end up w/a goat on my back! So, I know how she feels.

I'm a little bummed... I sold a beautiful pygmy buck to a fella a month or so ago. Today I saw that he had him listed for sale on Craigslist. I don't really care that he's trying to sell him for more money - but the goat looks baaaad. He's lost weight and looks really crappy and that just kinda hurts my heart. I thought this guy would take better care of him than that.

And, I have a back ache that's lasted all day from my new mattress.... double ugh.

That's no fun. After all, the whole purpose of a new mattress is to make your back feel better and help you get a good night's sleep!

Sorry about the buck. That's got to be hard. :hugs

Oh man that is hard with the buck. That really stinks! That is one of the main reasons I'm so reluctant to get involved in animal sales? You just never know what's going to happen to them.

Interesting reading here!
Re: pigmy buck, I'd be over there with the money he paid me and get the buck back. Then I'd have to give him the look or say something. I'm okay with rescue missions. What a butthead.

I'm tempted, but I keep a closed herd and he has a LOT of animals...so it's not worth a risk to my current animals... BUT - I will not be selling him anything again.

Ugh... must be my turn to have negativity going on! The bed - the new bed - the memory foam, vibrating, turn you into a taco bed has been delayed again. OMG! What does somebody gotta do to get good customer service these days? The bed is not coming until SUNDAY now... geeze louise. Besides the $200 cash credit I got the first day they screwed things up - I'm now getting two memory foam pillows valued at a hunnerd bucks apiece. WHATEVER! I just want my bed. I'm tired of sleeping on a mattress on da floor.

Then.... the bed cover we ordered for the truck came in - minus the hardware - and INSTRUCTIONS! Ok, we sent 'em an email - they apologized profusely and promised to 'fix it'. We got the hardware today - but guess what - no instructions. Grrrrrrr...I'm sure we can get 'em online, but dang - I'm visual...I needa look at instructions for goodness sake. Sigh.....

Hmmmm... seems to be a 'bed' theme here, lol!

On a more positive note I've got some folks coming tomorrow to pick up 4 pullets for $75 dollas! They are 'city folk' and I'm thrilled to help them on their journey toward self-sufficiency. I'm not gonna count my dineros until they're in my hand but... Actually, it wouldn't be a huge problem if they didn't show up cuz my egg sales have taken off! I've sold about 10 dozen this week already and have standing orders for eggs every week now.

Saw my very first goose fight today. I have three males and two female geese and I was wondering when the guys would figger it out.... well today was the day! Two of the males started by grabbing each others opposite wing with their beak and commencing to beat the stuffing out of the other gander with their free wing. Then the third gander got in on it and by the time I broke it up it was a MESS! Funny though. I tossed the third wheel into a different pen but the problem is I don't know how they're paired up. I'm gonna have to put 'em back together at least until the girls are through laying and start sitting. I NEED these eggs to be fertile. After that - I'm gonna taste home grown goose, by golly!

Gonna have to get started on some fencing projects soon - I need to repair some old fences that are about to give up the ghost. Havta work Saturday, but may be get summpin done Sunday afternoon.

Dat's all folks!
