@lcertuche i started turning gray at 12. I dyed my hair for years and finally gave up on it about 5 years ago. My hair is pure white and past my shoulders. You will like not having to hit the dye bottle!

I like white hair. I haven't had one yet (I am 32), but I'll rock it whenever it happens. I don't have the patience to dye my hair.

It's coming Homesteader! I'm 32 and getting grays at my temples. I've been sorely tempted to dye a few time, but I decided about a decade ago to not try to cover up gray hair. I decided based on my mother's example of covering it up for so long. Not worth the hassle or expense, IMO.

I don't dye my gray, although my best friend has her own shop & will do it free for me. She begs me, as most hair stylists just jump at the chance, LOL. Now, I've colored my hair in years past and for many years. Now, nope. It grows out too fast and I just don't always have time for roots and I hate that. My mom kept hers colored until the last....at 91+ she was still getting color. We each have our guilty pleasure. Wine & chocolate for me.

My MIL dyes her hair and it looks terrible. My mom used to dye hers but stopped and I think she looks better now. My husband is getting white hairs, he's 35. It freaks him out! I said I prefer white hair to balding!

I dyed my hair dark brown for years, but at 34, my hair was white and 2 weeks after a dye job, I looked like a skunk. So I colored it red. people's attitude toward me immediately changed. Red hair dye made it ok for my to be a *itch, so of course I became one. LOL But finally, even the red grew old, so snowy white I am!

I have read that using an infusion of sage as a hair rinse will gradually get rid of the gray. Don't know if it's true as I never worried about my hair color. For years I had a skunk stripe that was very striking; the kind of thing some women pay money for; but gradually the rest of my hair caught up with it until now I am a (rather pretty, I think) silvery color all over.
