Sounds great! We have made it to the point where we no longer buy meat (we raise pigs, turkeys and chickens) or eggs. Next year I'll be milking 3 goats and hopefully within a few years I won't have to buy any dairy products (I have a lot to learn how to make first!)

Good luck with meal planning!

Anita it sounds like you have a productive life which should help. Going to bed dead tired is the best sleep supplement. It is so nice to have a beautiful place away from the rat race. Well actually I have rats but at least its quiet where I live except for the Wildbunch AKA my kids and DH, lol. Thanks for sharing with us

I'm sorry to hear about your PTSD :hugs I think time spent away from people and the craziness will be wonderful for you! I find farming, working with animals, gardening etc very relaxing and satisfying and putting your own home grown food on the table is of course amazing!

My current idea of meal planning is going through the selection at the butchers :hide So I'll leave you to it and good luck!

Welcome to SS!

I adore meal planning and all things related to a frugal grocery budget! Especially how it applies to those who grow much of their own food! I do pretty well when I'm healthy, but DH takes over cooking when I'm feeling unwell. When you're ready to talk meal planning and such, I'm game! Ask questions because if I just start blabbing I get overwhelming!

I homeschool my DS10, and I have a toddler who just turned 2.
