wouldn't ya know it? As soon as the chicks I hatched out from the home made incubator out grew my heated kiddy pool a cold front rolls in. They made it threw a low of 38 last night and seem to be doing ok but we have a freeze coming.

nope. I would have to bring them in and put them back in the kiddy pool. I'm hoping 34 of them is enough to huddle up and stay warm.

Maybe drape a curtain across the back for them. I made one out of old blue jean legs once. It will keep the wind off and give them a heat trap. Just staple it up.

I sussed out and put them back in the shed under the heat lamp. I told myself only for one more week until they get a little bigger

And your baby chicks.....gangly looking things.....it's cold and you are tender hearted enough to bring them in to keep them warm.
