Should be fine. My husband had a hen hatch out ducklings (also 28 days). She freaked out the first time they found the pond and took themselves for a swim, lol

Also I'm thinking about getting some jumbo Cornish cross roosters again. They are so good being farm raised. Amazing how much difference their is from store bought. If I can get my son and son in-law to go in with me on like 45 roos it would be worth it to raised them 9 - 10 weeks. Last year day olds were .89 at rural King.
