Eggciting, eggcellent news! I got my first 2 turkey eggs this morning. I put them under a broody BO hen - she took took to sitting on the right away. Fingers crossed she doesn't recognize the switch-a-roo.

The two bigger spotted ones are turkey eggs.

Chic Rustler - laying has begun, they lay a egg every day or other day. So it won't be long now and I'll send you a some to hatch.

My incubator is warming up right now. I'm also collecting chicken eggs to hatch out. I can fit around 80

Thanks again for wanting to hatch them out. I know all the fuss will be worth it when you sit down at the Thanksgiving dinner table... They really are far superior to store bought / Butterball. I'll send you a PM and ask for your address in the next few weeks.

Yes let's try and coordinate for 21 days from now. Last year the first clutch they laid about 35 eggs each. Then they sat of about a month and 1/2 and laid another clutch with about 25 each.

They are different than chickens... They lay clutches of eggs. Then they sit on the clutches.

I just got my incubator all sanitized. Gonna give it a day to run and dry out, collect a few more eggs and then load it Sunday or Monday. Gotta get some more chickens. I got a guy who wants to pay me darn good for half of the layers I have. Can't turn it down.
