Got more seeds planted to trays the other day...took only 3 days for the pak choi to spring up. Got maters and sweet peppers transplanted to foam cups, need to do the same with the hot peppers.

Got my potting table moved to the sunshine so I can use it for a hardening off/grow table soon.

Got more compost materials moved to one of the raised beds, got the other one planted to spuds.

I ordered more flats for starting and transplanting seeds. I started my seeds 4 per cell and now some things (tomatoes!) need to be transplanted into individual cells.

I've been able to move seedlings outside for a few hours during the day and anticipate being able to use greenhouse overnight soooooooon(ish).

I have been working on field rock border for future perennial flower garden. I hope to get it done today.

I've been too busy with other stuff to get to the garden/seeds. No sign of life there yet, but it's early days still. I need to see how many cauliflowers come up and put some more in in time. I'm the only one here eating them, so I need them staggered!

I need to sow the cucumbers and something else still… Can't remember what is was now :\ The sun came out just now, after the rain, maybe that's a sign that I need to get out there and do it lol

I've got empty rows in the garden so I've got to figure out what to put there. Decisions, decisions...

Sweetcorn. I had to sow sweetcorn. I went out and dug over a small patch for them and got some in. The cucumbers need warmer temperatures we had so far, even during our two days of summer, so I'm going to wait a bit longer with them.

I need to make a plan with the potatoes! Ideally I want to plant them above ground, in a raised bed or containers, but I'm not sure how yet...

Hope your corn turns out wonderful!

I HAD planted sweetcorn. It was in the area that the bunny (and/or Chester) ate. I could put some up in the front garden (the one with extra space) but I will have to situate it where it doesn't cast too much shade on other plants. And, the way it's configured it would kinda be in the way for easy access to other stuff. However, I do love me some sweet corn so I may figure at way around it! DH, can't eat it so I don't need much... I'm going to have to re-plant cucumbers...they came up but they're looking mighty puny. Probably too cool yet. I've got volunteer potatoes coming up from the tub they were planted in last year. I must have missed some. Not sure how they survived the freezes we had - but they sure did.

Thanks, FEM! I am looking forward to picking corn and hopefully harvesting loads of other veggies from my new garden. I haven't had a vegetable garden in about 3 years or more now and I miss it!

I decided to dig a few holes, mix some of that amazing shed compost in with the soil and stick some potatoes in there. I can't find anything suitable for growing them in raised beds or containers, so in the ground they will go. Hopefully I won't have trouble digging them out when the time comes (I've been known to make fries when I dig them already)

I got seedlings! Not sure what exactly, I forgot what I put where, but something's up lol

The potatoes didn't get planted yet. It started raining when I was out there working and I didn't get back to it. That is on today's to-do list.

WooHoo! That's great. And I do the same thing all the time....I always think I'm going to remember what I put where, but I don't. This year I thought I had a better idea and used clothespins to mark the little planter pots. But, they would pop off and then I wouldn't know which pot to put them back on, lol. So, I've got mystery tomatoes. Really wish I knew which was which because some are doing fantastic and others - not so much...

Hmm, I'd re-mark those as "yay" and "nay" until I can figure them out properly ;)

Mystery seedlings have been identified as sweetcorn, which I only put in a few days ago. Wow! There are some green things in the other rows as well, but some may be weeds, so I'm not getting exited until I can tell for sure. I finally got the potatoes in the ground and sowed some mini pepper seeds as well.
