I replaced screen in my windows (13 of 18 screens had holes!!!). I can't quite bring myself to throw the old screen away. Any ideas for reusing or making something with it?

Can you post pics of what you got there? I can think of some possible uses, but I'll have to see them first.

No frames, just the screen.

I found an idea for small scraps!! Line the bottom of flower pot to keep the soil in. I've been using a small piece of fabric, but don't like my solution. Screen will work better!

Cloches for placing over young plants to protect and shade them? Frame one of them out, disinfect it well and use it for drying lettuce and other greens from the garden after washing.

Solar drying fruits and veggies? Place around young saplings to deter gnawing of rodents and rabbits.

I also use coffee filters in pots to keep the soil in. It provides drainage, and a great way to recycle the used ones.

As for screen....metal or cloth screen?
