@baymule the yard long green beans started producing. A small hand full yielded 2 pints.

Alright so my raised beds are empty. Harvested out. Thinking of planting in them for fall. Whats good in my neighborhood and when should I plant?

I was thinking of planting black eyed peas now and maybe some root crops or salad stuff in the beds.

Peas will make until a hard frost. Root crops, lettuce and greens are good for fall. I’m still learning when to plant what here, going to try end of August or first of September for fall garden. We only moved 160 miles further north, but it is different.

Cole crops, broccoli and cabbage are also good fall crops.

Well my beds are empty and the soil level sunk about 50%
So I spent most of Sunday sifting compost and got them full again.

I wonder if I can plant anything right now. I sure hate bare beds in the garden. That being said its just now getting consistently in the 100s. So idk

Well I guess 108°f was just too much for the bunnies even with the fans and shade. Lost the whole herd except 1 lonely bunny.

I'm going to give the bunny to a friend and work on improvements. I'm thinking misters and a thermostat controlled system.
