I really see no point in driving 9 hours to use an outhouse and drink gross chlorinated water from the nearest campground. I could just shut off the electricity, get a terrible mattress, and cook on the gas grill at home?
I think I agree with ya!

Hope DH comes through with that freeze dryer - that would be awesome!

HE BOUGHT IT!!!!

He printed the owner's manual and put it under the mail - on my laptop. :love

It will take 2 weeks to arrive. I hope we have blueberries then! He suggested I freeze berries to hold them over until it's installed.

I need to plant a strawberry patch now! I have alpine (wild) strawberries that have tiny intensely sweet fruit, and a ridiculously short shelf life so I can't do anything with them. I have enough garden space to dedicate a couple rows to strawberries.... There I go daydreaming again!!!

I may be able to catch up on weeding my garden. Oh boy. It's picking time. Tomatoes flopped over and are starting to ripen. Had some with blossom end rot, so I suppose I'll water a set amount everyday? We assume it's because inconsistent watering from the drought and then downpour last week. Cabbage aren't mature, but we have so many of them, we're starting to eat them now.

I had a bad functioning day yesterday. Really bad. Okay, not that bad, but worst in 6 months or so. Was so thankful to have that wheelchair, I was able to run my errands anyway. A few extra purchases to avoid DS3 tantrum's, but did okay otherwise. Stuck to the list, except for some extra yarn. It was on my list.... just not on the list of what I was going to buy yesterday. LOL I needed caffeine to get through, but then ended up awake all night. I got a whole bunch of knitting done. I made a super-warm huge hooded infinity scarf. And started another scarf with a new-to-me stitch. I headed out to the garden about 5:30 a.m. and weeded for 2 hours. I think I'm caught up on weeding from vacation. I was able to hoe most of the garden and most of the big patches of grass clumps and tall weeds are gone. I think it will be okay from here on out. Now I need to start working on those darn potato bugs!!

My next couple weeks are cra-zy. Seems like all my commitments are falling in the same weeks! I'll be relieved when it's over!

I can't wait to hear about your freeze dryer adventures. Once again, so happy for you on the blessing that wheel chair is for you.

It sounds like you got a lot done in your garden too.

Good news: with wheelchair I'm able to do most my errands/shopping/appointments even when I'm doing poorly.
Bad news: I don't notice I'm doing poorly because I'm able to do those things and am not aggressive enough with treatment plan.

I'll get used to this someday? I had support group today, which is always fun. One other member is a wheelchair user so she gave me tips and maneuvers to practice. I crashed (I mean fatigue and symptomatic) on the way home and missed a BBQ picnic tonight. But then not long after DH and DS3 left to go to the BBQ, my body regulated and I've been pretty much okay since. Getting housework done. looking for my shoes. Uggh. Lost my shoes between the garden and the house a couple days ago. Can't find them. Lost one of my backup flipflops. Rann my errands shoeless today. :facepalm

Busy week and my garden is neglected. Haven't picked blueberries or cucumbers. or zucchini. Will end up feeding it to the goats. I have zoodles in my fridge awaiting blanching and freezing and about 10 quarts worth of wax beans all prepped for canning. No idea how I am going to get those done - or when!

LOL - now you sound like me. I can lose a shoe faster than you can blink an eye!
