I hate snakes.... but, saw a little green snake last week. Maybe 2' long. Haven't seen one of those in about 30 years! Way in the back field...he was safe, I don't dispatch those.

How is Trip doing now? I know you had him laying around a week or so. All OK?

Knock on wood; I haven't seen a snake on our property in 16 years- not even little racers and such. We had a lot of gopher snakes near us in CA. When I found one, I used to carry it over to the corn patch and let it go, hoping it would go after the varmints.

He is fine now. It was a bad bite on his upper front leg on the inside. It left a hole that I could stick my thumb in and he licked it continually. I sprayed it twice a day with hydrogen peroxide. It finally healed up and he went back to business as usual. I wonder what he'll think about snakes from now on?
