When to plant veggies

aquaponics always seemed to me like it would be a good way to go. Feed the fish, the fish feed your veggies. At some point in time you would want to start eating the fish and replace them with smaller ones as you eat them. Kind of like a cool circle of life thing going on. And you get fresh veggies and meat at the same time.

Speaking of chickens. I counted the best i could yesterday and I have like 36 hens and two roosters. How does this happen? I only want like less than 1/2 that many.

I wanted to go into the winter with about 15, but only culled the extra cockerels, so have 30 gals and 2 guys. Too many nice pullets to cull. Spring hatches yielded 14/22 pullets w/ egg selection to favor pullets.
