Last year when we had the big snow storm you couldn't get bread as everyone stormed the shops and stocked up! Our local supermarket baked rolls, but they sold out as soon as they put them out in the baskets.
What I find funny is that all the bread will be gone but there's plenty of flour and yeast, lol. One hurricane...no wait...tropical storm - I bought bread mixes (back in the day of bread machines) and we had fresh deliciousness when everyone else was fighting over bagged bread.

It's in the 20's here. Looks like this extreme cold thing won't be too bad by the time it gets to us, might get down to -7 tomorrow night but that's not a big deal. We got 6" of snow last night though.

Next Monday and Tuesday will be in the 40's! Yes, finally warm enough to butcher!

Our snow has turned over to rain. Hubby and I have been outside, done the shoveling and the snow blowing. It's now a beautiful misty/rainy day. Perfect day for trudging around in the snow, checking the trees in the orchard, just enjoying the dew on my face at 34*.
