CC, I stopped paying attention to birthdays when I passed 35...for some reason that one seemed to hit me hard, suddenly realizing that, indeed, time was marching on. Then, after that, I didn't pay attention to the march of time anymore. My kids laugh because I often won't even remember how old I'll be with the next birthday....bad memories can be a blessing at times. :D

We're sure glad you are a year older rather than the alternative. :hugs

Just a matter of time... There's two things are certain in life, death and taxes. I can say, I don't like either one of those very much at all.

I often have to stop and do the math to figure out how old I am. Occasionally, I'll loose a whole year, or add a year or two. However, as I get closer and closer to Medicare age, I pay more attention to my age. Counting the years and months until that happens. When hubby retires next winter, I'll fall into a "pay more than I earn for it, or go completely without health insurance" category.

A friend of mine told me once that her father requested to be buried in a particular cemetery in a nearby town. She didn't understand why he wanted that particular one, especially since it was not located in their own town, until she went there for the funeral and realized that across the street from the entrance was the office of a tax accountant. The man had a keen sense of humor
