One of my favorite passages, along w/the passage from 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

13. But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others that have no hope.

14. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.

15. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16. For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together whim them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18: Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Deb, I am sorry to read that your Mother's body has left this earth, I pray that you continue to feel her love, cherish the wonderful memories that you have until you can celebrate again with her in heaven. Hugs.

Even so, Lord Jesus, COME. Every day, I wake up, wondering... Maybe, this will be the day!!!

Death, in a lot of ways, reminds me of the process of giving birth. It's a natural part of life. The process can be uncomfortable, but there is such joy, incredible joy beyond measure on the other side for the person who has placed their faith in Jesus.

Same here.

We planned the funeral today. It still doesn't seem completely real. And, while there was the sadness in knowing that she's gone, we were laughing at times as we recall memories.

:hugs The waves of grief will wash over you at the most unexpected moments, but they will eventually begin to settle. Some days it will feel like they'll never end. I'm glad it was a beautiful experience, though, that makes all the difference. Sending lots of love.
