This year I kind of got used to the Kiko cross babies jumping up and finding their ninny quickly and on their own - I think I kinda forgot that pygmy babies can be stubborn little $hits. Mama did her job - she got 'em here. Next job is all baby - she has to learn to eat. I've done my part and have given her 10 cc's of colostrum 3 different times now. I don't want her to be so full that she doesn't root on her own.
I'm supposed to have a guy coming to look at three goats this morning. I don't have a great feeling about this. I want to sell my goats to people who know what they're doing and this guy is a total novice. He's thinking about two does and the Nigi buck. Thank goodness these are grown goats because I hate to sell babies to people who don't know anything. I sent him pictures yesterday and he asked me if I would bathe them because their legs are muddy. Uhhhh….not just no - but HELL NO! This is a farm. These are farm animals. Goats hate water - and it's too dang cold.
I did trim their feet. One of them was wormed a couple days ago and I'll worm the other for him so I can show him how. I need to dip up some feed for him so he can use it to mix his new feed with for a few days.
Then he told me his kids wanted chickens for eggs and asked if I had any for sale. I told him I'd look around and see if I could find some for him. He asked me how much and I told him $20. He said somebody had some for $6. I suggested that he go get them, lol. He said since he's coming here he'd just get some from me if possible. Something made me text him back before I went out to chase down and pen any up. I told him I had one that lays a green egg and another one that lays a brown egg and that his kids would probably love that. He says - don't you have any regular chickens? Nope...no regular chickens here.

Hope the other one learns QUICK and the next delivery will be smooth, trouble free and at a time that is good for you. We can hope?? 
And bathing the goats.. Oh boy! This man is going to learn some things about farming and animals soon.
I saw the lady bottle feed one of the kids and oh... *sigh* BIG sigh...
